I'm so glad you're here!

I’m an Austin, Texas-based Wedding and Special Event Planner with a passion for bringing love stories to life and a deep desire to be the poster child for dairy-free ice cream. I got my start in events in college as the Rush Chair for my social club and have been hooked ever since. I’ve planned everything from baby showers to graduation banquets to adaptive events for children with special needs, but have found my niche in helping couples achieve their wedding day dreams. I’ve cried happy tears at every wedding I’ve ever been to and believe that is a clear sign that I’m in the right place!

Alyssa Mintz

Senior Lead Coordinator

Alyssa graduated from The University of Alabama (Roll Tide) in 2021 with a Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management where she studied Event Management and fell in love with the wedding industry. She has spent her professional career working in nonprofit events as well as at two local venues as a site manager. She joined Day of Lily as a Lead Coordinator in 2022 and has been keeping her Millennial boss up-to-date with the latest trends, lingo, and technology ever since.

Elaine Sullivan

Lead Coordinator

Elaine has been planning events for over 10 years, from sorority socials to nonprofit fundraisers to corporate conferences. Her educational background is in interior design, later earning a MA in Historical Preservation from Boston University in 2017. In recent years, her love of design brought her to florals, and she earned a floral design certification from ACC in 2023. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, trying out new hobbies, and spending time with her spunky dog Charlie.

FAQ

Yes, with a few rules!

  1. We can’t get on a ladder for insurance reasons – no installations from us!
  2. We can’t do another vendor’s job! DIYing your florals? No biggie! But we can’t arrange them – I promise it’s for your own good.
  3. We have to have all of your personal decor items in writing ahead of time to ensure we have enough time and hands to set up what you need.
Yes! Couples must use a full-service catering company or a staffing company.
Only for events over 60 miles outside the Austin metro. This covers pretty much everything from Dripping Springs to Georgetown!
Yes! We charge a $150 special reservation fee to lock in someone specific from the team.
Nope, because it doesn’t exist. You wouldn’t ask a surgeon to operate on you “day-of” without meeting first, taking scans, and reviewing your options. And let’s face it, your wedding is an investment that’s just as big as surgery. We take your wedding seriously!
While we will do everything in our power to be there and this is a rare situation, this is the best part about working with a team! In the unfortunate event that one of our planners is unable to attend due to illness, accident, or any unforeseen circumstance, the rest of our skilled team can seamlessly step in and execute flawlessly based on our detailed planning documents. We all use the same systems and processes, allowing us to pick up right where you left off!
